Before this week ends I would like to post another recipe and above all join to another contest…. . This month the MTchallenge recipe is Macedonia (as we call fruit salad) at the begin I thought..that’s really an easy recipe, but when I started to see what other bloggers are going to post…I started to worry about. Fortunately Phyllo dough and some caramel drops (I learnt to do just few days ago, without burning any pan!!!!) gave me the following idea.
MACEDONIA (fruit salad) WITH CARAMEL DROPS
4 little Phyllo dough “flower” baskets(you can also prepare the day before)
1 apple
1 pear
1 peach
grapes
1 small banana
blueberries
1 slice cantaloupe melon
1 slice pineapple
fresh juice of 1 lemon
2 tablespoons sugar
whipped cream
20 g sugar to make the little drops of caramel.
For the caramel: Place the 20 grams of sugar in a heavy bottomed pan from the fire, to caramelize. Just take the normal color of caramel, little drops in reverse on a lightly oiled baking dish.
Peel and cut fruit into small pieces, remembering to spray once the pears and apples with lemon juice to prevent blackening, and add chunks of banana at the end. Season with lemon juice and remaining sugar, mix well and fill phyllo dough baskets. Garnish with whipped cream and little drops of caramel.

It’s going to be a success…I wish you a wonderful weekend, love, Flavia!
