700 gr farina 00
250 gr burro a temperatura ambiente
150 gr zucchero
2 uova
2 tuorli
Buona giornata,
Flavia
Today is Saint Lucia Day and in many cities, including abroad, many children receive gifts!
However, even if my friends and I are not children the time for a quick shower and I’m going to visit my “cakes” friends for Christmas greetings (some of them are going abroad to visit their families!!).
I’m going to bring them a little gift, very little but made with heart ... to them , who are teachers with cakes, and fondant decorations, but I would like to give them something simple made with my hands ….by their Christmas trees! I’m really happy to have found friends like them!

PASTRY DOUGH FOR DECORATED COOKIES
700 g all purpose flour
250 g butter at room temperature
150 g caster sugar
2 eggs
2 egg yolks
1 teaspoon salt
Grated zest of 2 lemons
Mix the sugar with the grated rind of the lemon and add the butter, and eggs with the yolks. Mix everything and put the flour and salt and mix well. Form a ball and put the dough to rest in the refrigerator preserving wrapped in plastic wrap for a night.
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Roll out the dough on parchment paper and cut biscuits with a star (I used the smaller three measures of the Wilton’s set of 10 pcs) have formed for each tree 3 stars large, 2 medium and 3 small.
I fired and lowered the temperature to and baked for 12minutes (or until golden).
I let them cool on a wire rack, then stuck with edible glue (water and sugar is even good) fondant (cut with the same cutters), and decorated with edible glitter holographic (bought on line here ). I assembled the trees and for the star at the top I used a small piece of toothpick.

Have a good day,
